- 2008-5-26 All donated medicines by Tongji and China Construction Bank (Nanning Xincheng branch) sent by our medical team have been utilized in hospitals in Mianzhu of Sichuan. As of today, our medical team has carried out a total of 66 cases of surgery, received 318 patients, 130 person-time infusions and 11-trip of patients’ pick-up. Tongji medical rescue team gains the unanimous recognition and praise by local leaders, hospitals and patients.
- 2008-5-25 Most of the severe wounded have been fundamentally relocated today. Tongji medical rescue team takes care of about 400 patients with various degrees of situations together with personnel of medical aid teams from different provinces.
- 2008-5-24Medicines donated by China Construction Bank (Nanning Xincheng branch) on May 23 have been sent to Mianzhu. Tongji rescue team in heart carries out work since this batch of drugs temporary relieves medicine tension to some extent in quake-hit areas.
- 2008-5-23Today, rescue station sent another group of patients here, most of which are fracture trauma patients. Tongji rescue team intensely and orderly provides debridement and plaster models for the wounded. The whole patients in the relief station remain stable emotionally, yet medicines and equipment resources are still lacking.
- 2008-5-22So far, Tongji medical--surgical team has received a total of more than 200 patients, picked up over 10-trip clients and carried out various types of surgeries for more than 40 times. More than 400 wounded people have received treatment in the rescue station.

- 2008-5-21Six o'clock in the evening, Director Ye of Guangxi Federation of Industry and Commerce led armed police officers and soldiers to visit our medical team, giving high praise and appreciation for the work we do. They also sent Eight-treasure porridge, nutrition and fast food (rice noodle) as well as mineral water and other substances to us. Today, medical team conducted a total of eight cases of surgery. Team members look a little tired.
- 2008-5-21After various efforts and negotiations, we applied for and got 10 quilts in the rescue station, however, some team members found their bodies suffered skin rash when getting up this morning. It’s estimated that there are fleas in the quilts. We would like to put the quilts under the sun for drying yet it rained.
- 2008-5-20As of 9:00 p.m., our medical team has conducted 20 cases of surgery totally, provided consultation for more than 50 people, intravenous infusion for 20 person-times and made 3-trip of patients pick up. Our relief team has increasingly walked toward the right track and played a pivotal role in the rescue station. Basically surgeries are conducted by our doctors and they are quite successful. The rescue team enjoys high reputation by local people and medical staff. At the same time, quilt issue for the team members has been resolved, further more, they could eat rice.
- 2008-5-20Today, we carried out a total of 17 cases of surgery, received more than 50 person-times. The rescue team drove to the hardest-hit area to pick up and treat the injured for three times. Currently, three doctors are still carrying out surgery. In addition, Guangxi and Nanning television reporters who followed Tongji medical team to Sichuan have sent the past two-day’s filming videos back to Nanning in last night and this morning respectively. From tonight, 18:30 "Nanning News" of Nanning Television Comprehensive News Channel and 21:00 "News Online" of Guangxi TV City Life Channel will continue to report rescue work carried out by our medical team in Mianzhu City. Welcome everyone to focus on both channels. Let’s stay with Sichuan. Go, Sichuan! Come on, China!
- 2008-5-20As of this noon, we helped Mianzhu People's Hospital
with anesthesia for 4 surgeries, carried out a total of 14 cases of surgery. Over 100 patients have received treatment. Rescue team members look more freshly with proactive passion for work. They are praised by victims of calamity and local medical personnel.
- 2008-5-19As of 9:00 p.m., our medical team has provided consultation for more than 80 people, intravenous infusion for 60 person-times and carried out nine operations and anesthesia for two major operations. Meanwhile, we drove to the hardest-hit area to see patients for one time under the leadership of Vice President Lv. The team is praised by victims of calamity and local medical personnel.
- 2008-5-19Power supply has been basically returned to normal in Mianzhu Stadium today. Vice President Lv Jingxi involved in five operations totally, three surgeries in the morning and at noon, while the other two in the afternoon as well as one operation still to be carried out. In addition, Lin Hua has successfully completed the resettlement and liaison for Tongji rescue team, returning to the company in this afternoon. She continues to be responsible for news release of the rescue team and material supplies for disaster areas.
- 2008-5-19Accommodation and dining conditions are relatively difficult, yet they in no way affected rescuers’ passion for work. Team members express their will to overcome difficulties to complete the mission successfully.
- 2008-5-18Tongji medical rescue team arrives in the hardest-hit area--Mianzhu City smoothly with the help of Secretary-General Fan Keqin of Guangxi Chamber of Commerce in Sichuan as well as Wu Yanxiang, secretary of Party Committee of Sichuan Investment-Inviting Bureau. At present, the team has settled down in a temporary medical aid site in the stadium set up by Mianzhu Government. Together with experts from the 44th Chengdu Military Hospital, Tongji rescue team assists the People’s Hospital of Mianzhu with medical relief work. In order to avoid the epidemic, all towns and townships with serious housing collapse have been strictly blockaded, and most of the wounded in Mianzhu City were taken to this medical relief point after the sixth day of earthquake. However, rescue teams could only handle simple debridement without carrying out surgery temporarily because the current water-electricity supply was not normal. - 2008-5-18 Tongji team members get up very early after a night's rest in Chengdu. Then everyone cleans up luggage, carry-on drugs and equipment for starting relief work. We all anxiously hope to get to the frontline of disaster areas as soon as possible to rescue the wounded, yet it needs to get Sichuan Provincial Health of Bureau and other relevant departments’ approval to access to the hardest-hit areas. - 2008-5-17At 17:30, our rescue team has passed Chongqing. It is expected to be arrived in Chengdu at 20:00 tonight.

- 2008-5-17We arrive in the highway of Zunyi to Chongqing at noon, heading for Chengdu. It’s expected to have more than 600 kilometers far away. We do not stop to have lunch but eat Eight-treasure porridge in the car in order to save time to reach disaster areas as soon as possible. Each team member looks ok. Please don’t worry.

- 2008-5-17At 8:00, our medical team arrives in Guiyang City of Guizhou. It rains all the way. A few comrades suffer car sickness and vomiting, yet they could overcome the minor difficulties. There’s no need to worry about.
